Lithology and Thickness
Clayey limestone. The Fm is composed of dark shale, intercalated with dark-brown well-bedded limestones, with an oily aroma: 60% limestone, shale 30% and sand 10%. Thickness is recorded as 30 m (100 ft) in the Paung Chaung section, but 934 m (3000 ft) thick in the Pane Chaung section.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
Unconformable with Orbitolina Limestone Fm
Upper contact
The upper boundary is faulted against the Kabaw Fm.
